The Bristol Warren Education Foundation is proud to announce the inaugural recipient of our scholarship.

Caroline Parker, a resident of Bristol, graduated from Mt. Hope High School in June 2018 and is attending Wesleyan University in Middletown CT, studying actuarial science with a minor in engineering. Caroline demonstrated great academic and athletic aptitude as well as commitment to her school and community through volunteer service.

We are very proud that she will be using this award to further her goals and we wish her every success.

In May 2017, The Bristol Warren Education Foundation (BWEF) announced a new scholarship opportunity for local high school students. The inaugural scholarship will be awarded to a senior from the Mount Hope High School class of 2018.

In keeping with the foundation's mission, the scholarship aims to reward a local student not only for academic achievement and extra-curricular participation, but also for showing a commitment to the local community through service.

Mount Hope High School guidance counselor Brian MacDougall is excited by the partnership with BWEF. 'The Education Foundation has shown dedication to our school community, both teachers and students, over the years, and this scholarship will provide a great opportunity for a student wishing to further their education.'

Applications for the $1,500 scholarship will be available through the Guidance office at Mount Hope High School before the end of the current school year, giving rising seniors plenty of time to fulfill requirements.
