Herreshoff Marine Museum Seamanship and Sailing Program (value $540)
Learn not only to sail, but about the history of seamanship too!  The mission of the Herreshoff Marine Museum Seamanship and Sailing Program is to teach seamanship and sailing, with the goal of promoting self-reliance, responsibility, and accountability, both on and off the water.  Up for auction is one of HMM's two week, full day (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) "introduction to classic sailing" sessions, one of their most valuable class offerings.  This class uses US Sailing's REACH curriculum and combines elements of our in-school programming, Mentorship Program, and Summer Seamanship Program.  This class is appropriate for all levels as students are grouped by experience.  The winner may also apply the $540 value towards any of their other sailing classes offered during the 2013 season including adult, family, women's, private, overnight, or youth seamanship lessons.
Generously donated by Herreshoff Marine Museum.
