Kara joined the BWEF Board of Directors in 2018, and serves on the Governance Committee.

Kara is, first and foremost, a mom of 2 children in the Bristol/Warren school district, one at Kickemuit Middle School and the other at Colt Andrews, and is an active volunteer at both schools. She has been a Bristol resident for her entire life.

Kara has worked in the field of early childhood education for the past 20 years, starting in the classroom and holding many roles, including the role of School Director, before moving into corporate staffing for the field at The Children's Workshop in 2017. She received her BS in Early Childhood Education and has also studied the areas of business management and leadership.

Kara enjoys participating in as well as attending theatre, crocheting, reading, traveling and making memories with her family.
