Jock Hayes joined the BWEF Board in 2010 and served as Board Chairman from 2011-16. He is a Bristol native, parent of a BWRSD student, and lives and works in Bristol.

Jock has spent the majority of his career at the East Bay Newspapers (EBN), a local group of community newspapers that his family has owned and operated for three generations. In addition to his time at EBN and BWEF, Jock volunteers in the local schools and coaches youth lacrosse. He also serves on the Board of Directors at the Highlander Charter School.

During the fair weather months (and even foul) Jock can be found spending his free time with his family on Narragansett Bay, where he grew up sailing and swimming, the East Bay Bike Path, and lacrosse fields around New England.
